Somebody goofed and mixed up the TV MOVIE data with the TV SERIES data

1: There was no pilot. It was originally a made for TV & Video MOVIE not intended to become a series I am told until a campaign by black conservatives lead by JDPC urged Fox to make a series out of it a year later. JDPC is a privately owned web publishing firm.

2: There are 2 listings you get when tou search just for "M.A.N.T.I.S". One listing is the TV MOVIE and one is the TV series. Someone has mixed the data for the TV MOVIE with the data for teh TV SERIES on EACH of the 2 listings on IMDB. Someone GOOFED.

The movie was made first, actually about a year earlier. The cast was not all the same between these 2 listings. Some characters were and some were not the same actors.

Also there were some characters added and dropped in the series different than the original movie.

Finally it seems some obtuse contributors have been adding TV series data to the MOVIE listing and visa versa here on IMDB! Now it has to all be corrected on BOTH on the TV Series's IMDB listing and on the Movie's IMDB listing because the data has been cross contaminated.

A company called JDPC, a web publisher who are my collegues, were the people who originally made both the TV Movie and TV Series listings (as I am told) and JDPC did it right. BUT, then said obtuse people came along later and mixed the data up extensively and I am not going to be the guy who cleans up those obtuse contributor's mess. That is a lot of work and nobody wants to pay and I dont work for free. So IMDB is stuck having to sort it all out. Neither JDPC nor myself will be responsible for the trahic mess others came and made in the database after JDPC had made 2 correctly DISTINCT database listings for the movie and for the TV series.
