Katharine Hepburn was the best thing about this movie .

Seriously, when I saw this, I thought Annette Bening was wasting her talent and Warren Beatty was wasting his time. Katharine Hepburn was the only thing good about this film.

Agreed. I was bawling at the end of the scene because I knew this was one of Kate's last movies. She was absolutely wonderful, but so frail and old! I don't like watching my favourite stars fade away.

I thought Bening was very good as well, though KH stole the show.

I can't believe that Warren Beatty wanted Kate to say the F-word!

Her saying it added NOTHING to this film.

It seems like today's film makers think a film won't even begin to appeal to an audience unless it's uttered at least once. They're so wrong!

Still, Kate was the best thing about this movie. I watched it recently, and I was thinking, when is Kate coming on?

Warren Beatty appreciates that compliment. Annette Bening would smile, and Kate would say " yes, but what did you like about me in particular? Has the world forgotten about the importance of specific details?! And, please, be honest, because Warren dragged me to L.A. in an exercise of vanity and if I rose above that in this movie, please tell me so."

I disagree. I don't think she added anything to this mess of a film, not that that was her fault. She was too frail and ill to make an impact, and it was quite uncomfortable seeing that on screen. I wish Beatty hadn't pressured her to do this role.
