Enrico Morricone (sp?) music

Does anyone know the name of the music that Katherine Hepburn plays on the piano which is repeated throughout the movie? I think I have tracked it down to being written by Enrico Morricone (not sure of the spelling) who won a special Oscar at this year's Academy Awards. It's so beautiful and I'd love to know what it's called. Thanks.

Thanks anyway. I just finally found it. The piece of music is called "For Annette and Warren" by Ennio Morricone. He obviously wrote it especially for them.

That piece of music is actually the theme music from the original movie, "An Affair to Remember". Ennio puts his twist on it, but it's the same.

reply

no it's not.

The soundtrack sells on Amazon.com, and there are many different versions of the piano song you are referring to, the theme song to Love Affair by Ennio Morricone, on the soundtrack. You can also buy sheet music for it. It might prove to be challenging if you're not an expert sheet reader, but give it some time, and you'll soon be playing it just like Katharine Hepburn's character in the movie. :) I agree that it's an incredibly beautiful, enchanting song. I plan on playing it on the piano into my old age, just like Katharine's character in the movie. :)

I thought the music was called "Love Affair", but sometimes "Piano solo" by Ennio Morricone. Sometimes it is "For Annette and Warren". Whatever the title is, I really really love it! Yes, it is really enchanting. The emotion is there!

Coming in a little late here, but theres also a beautiful vocal version by KD Lang, used briefly in "Twister". You can hear it in the scene where they're at the drive-in, just before the tornado which destroys Helen Hunt's aunt's house hits.

The K.D. Lang version is in this film, too.

Maybe it´s just me, but doesn't the music resemble the music in Arthur (1981); the scene where Hobson has passed away and Arthur is sitting in his room? Just some notes sound similar...
