if they ever remade this movie... JENNIFER LAWRENCE as Jo.
i don't care who they cast as the other. J Law would be perfect as Jo.

shareOh come on, these days everyone's just crazy about the overrated J.Law. If I had to make a choice, well I'd not know whom I'd choose since the movie is not so old to need another version. I'd wait and see if it's worth shooting a new movie rendering of LMA's novel in at least five years
shareShe was Great in Winter's Bone. That's it. Crap anywhere else.
shareOh God, no! Don't start giving them bad ideas!
Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress, but she's too much of a feminist. I know Jo is too, but Jo is still innocent and good in nature; I can't picture Jennifer Lawrence being anything but physically defensive. Jo was a smart woman, ahead of her time in every sense of the word (particularly for women), but she fought her battles with logic and words...I can't picture Jennifer Lawrence fighting with anything but her fists, a bow and arrow, and name-calling.
Maybe I just haven't seen enough of her movies, but I'm not convinced at this point. Seeing her in the credits would drive me away from ever seeing it.
She would definitely be a great Jo.
It may be hard to picture to some, as she hasn't done many roles like that - in fact, her interview persona (real self?) is the one that may be closest to Jo so far.
We know she has range and versatility, though. She also has the necessary spark and intelligence.
BUT - they would have to do it soon, as Jennifer is rapidly growing too old, and is not one to look younger than her age (part of the reason why they took away so much make-up in the last HG movie..). And unfortunately, I don't think they will. I agree with the person who said it's too soon. There hasn't been enough time since this one yet.

Emma Watson as Jo Marchshare
The on-the-nose thinking gal’s choice, of course. Part tomboy, part intellectual, part feminist, she fits the part. Runners-up: Mia Wasikowska as a slightly fiercer, angrier Jo and Tessa Thompson, as Jo the emotional lefty activist.
"He For She" while supposedly being a feminist does seem very much like something Jo would come up with.
shareno.... JLaw isn't that talented.
shareNO
shareCan't picture J Law as Jo at all.
shareno.
shes too old first of all and second of all her acting is not that complex, she would probably play Jo as pissy & passive-aggressive with a wisecrack now and then which isn't Jo March at all. I agree with others who say she is overrated. this casting would only make my diminishing faith in hollywood even lower.
In 2015 she wasn't too old. Any wisecracks would come from the script, unless they were doing an improv version.
