It sucks that the Twins lost to the hippie-filled A's.
I'm surprised nobody's brought this up. Anyway I was hoping you boys would be able to send those SOB A's back home to cry because another first round elimination. The A's gave my beloved Mariners hell this year and I really thought you boys would put a smile on us seattle folks by kicking there ass.

Wow, that's a lot of hatred for the A's! Is it because they figure out a way to be in the race every year, while paying their players half of what Seattle does, therefore not overcharging their fans for tickets/merchandise/access? Yeah, I guess I could see how a Mariners fan could hate the A's.
And if we're going to talk about first-round exits, what about the year that you guys won more games than any other team in the history of baseball and then went on to make fools of yourselves in the playoffs? Oh well, better luck next year. Damn Oakland hippies... how dare they figure out how to beat the crap out of your team year after year. :) Did you go on the Angels in the Outfield board and complain that the Angels couldn't take the Division title from Oakland this year too?
Yeah that's right.
I could care less about the Angels, the California Angels I mean. When they decide on a permanent first name I may consider convaying some happy thoughts at their expense.
FYI, we were not eliminated in the first round in 2001, but the season was still a failure so I try not to think about it.
