Better than Rookie of the Year

This move is better than Rookie of the year because it is less cliche, more believable, more realistic, more interesting, knows more about the game of baseball, for a smarter audience, and still great, inspiring and dramatic. Also the ending is more surprising and less cliche.

Great film.

But Rookie of the year is funnier because I laughed more on that than I did on this. Saying that is not saying that this movie is bad because it is not bad, the other movie happens to be funnier that`s it

This was a good movie but Angels in the Outfield surpassed Rookie of the Year and Little Big League. But I liked LBL it was o.k. But not really that interesting.

The music alone makes this movie better.

Paraphrasing Thomas Heywood, Little Big League pisses on Angels in the Outfield. It's still one of the few baseball movies where everything feels authentic. The baseball (and not just MLB cameos), the dialogue...its all real. And it's still very funny. More pre-teen/adult than those cheesy movies ROTY and Angels in the Outfield

Not really, wow LBL had Ken Griffey JR and Randy Johnson big whoop, I liked AITO because of the special effects and the message it promotes, "Have faith"

Angels in the Outfield was garbage.

You can't even compare Angels in the Outfield to Little Big League. Angels in the Outfield is just a good kid's movie from Disney but as the others have alluded to Little Big League is a solid baseball movie.

As far as baseball movies of this ilk are concerned, I put Little Big League second behind The Sandlot. Rookie of the Year is a distant third.

Little Big League was just retarted, solid baseball my ass

This was a good movie but Angels in the Outfield...

You earlier said it was a good movie, but now say it was "just retarded".

If you like the faith aspect of Angels in the Outfield, that's fine, but you can't say it was a better baseball movie because it's just not true.

"Little Big League" reminded me of 1979 made for TV movie "The Kid From Left Field" starring the late Gary Coleman. Please click on
