I've thought seeing Scar becoming the King would give him all the happiness, love, joy and admiration that he wanted, I also wish we've gotten to see Scar as a competent ruler as King so he can remain happy as he was when he'd first gotten to become a King.

Scar is the only character in this movie that I identify with, and is the only one I'd I'd like to hang out with.

But the way he went on about it to get that crown is awful, so no.
If he wanted all of that. He definitely 100% went about it the wrong way. Manipulating your nephew and killing your brother is no way to get what you want.
Besides, it takes a lot more than desire to be a leader. It takes responsibility, skills, compassion, strength, bravery, and many more. None of which Scar had.
To Scar it was more about the power and control he has towards the others, he was a very poor leader, plus him not allowing anyone to mention Mufasa shows what a power hungry tyrant Scar really is.
