Is Rafiki fake?

There's a topic on the mylionking forum in which someone asked if he's fake because the film seems to alude to the idea that Rafiki might just be a metaphor for Simba's trials and tribulations while trying to find himself and the trip through the woods chasing him seems to identify with the idea that Rafiki might be a part of Simba's mind that helps him to discover who he is inside, but I disagree with this cause surely no one can be besides Garfield in his movies, though I wonder if the gargoyles in The Hunchback Of Notre Dame are or not. Do you agree on Rafiki being a fake or not?

reply

He's not fake.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

It's an interesting idea, but I don't think so. Besides, Rafiki held Simba up as a baby. I don't think Simba's mind or imaginary friend could do that.

However, I think I read somewhere else that Rafiki is a cross between different monkey species or something... To get the Mandrill face with a long tail or something along those lines.

I don't think so, he also got hit in the head with that stick and it hurted lol. so NOT imaginary.
