It WAS the same leprechaun

alright i read a topic a few minutes ago about how people didnt think it was the same leprechaun and i dont know why but i couldnt reply so i had to make a new topic.

in the 6th one it states that only ONE leprechaun did not go back in to hiding or something. AND WHY WOULDNT YOU THINK THEY'RE NOT THE SAME LEP??

reply

Is there something stopping the others from coming out of hiding? The rules in one movie are frequently ignored in a different one anyway.

There are lots of reasons to think it isn't the same Lep. The makeup is identical in #5 and #6 and different in all the others. He has a different costume in every movie. The amount of rhyming varies wildly from film to film. So does his general behavior, fighting style, and goals. At the start of #5 he's been frozen in stone for 20 years which basically makes it impossible for #1-3 to have taken place if it's the same Lep.

reply

its the same leprechaun :).,.,

ITS SAYS IN LEP BACK 2 THA HOOD...ONLY "ONE" DIDNT GO BACK

reply

also... ALL THE MOVIES "DID NOT" HAVE TO TAKE PLACE IN ORDER.

reply

JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING ELSE.

everytime the LEP was blowed up he came back as the statue

Lep 2 to Lep 3

Lep 4 to Lep 5

and he never died in Lep 5

lepconnie im not trying to be mean im just trying to prove a point
lepconnie do you actually think you know everything because you have a leprechaun website??

reply

umm cant figure out how to edit or there wouldnt be so many posts but err

why would the lep keep comin back as a statue when he blew up if he wasnt the same leprechaun. the leprechaun pretty much acted the same but it was a change in times is why he acted different and the way the movie was written. his costume DOES NOT mean its not the same lep. He died, and came back with a different costume. wow.. he must be a different leprechaun huh?.. i mean if i died,, i'd wanna come back with a different costume.. 5 & 6's costumes were the same cause HE DIDNT DIE in 5. GAWSH.. why is it sooo hard to get it through your head that its the SAME lep. i think we need to get warwick to verify this somehow. but if someone got to ask him that question there is a good posibility that he would say,, hmm i'd never thought to ask that.

reply

I don't think the Leprechaun died in any of the movies, as noted at http://www.lepconnie.com/bodycount.html. That doesn't mean it's the same Leprechaun, and I'm not going to bother talking about it any more. Your posts are too illogical and hard to read.

In the 1st Leprechaun film the Leprechaun tells the police man he's 600 years old. But at the beginning of Leprechaun 2 he's 1000 years old and the rest of the film happens 1000 years later making him 2000 so the Leps in Lep 1 and 2 couldn't be the same lep

reply

In the first movie he says he's over 600 years old and 2000 is certainly more than 600. So we can't rule out the possibility that they're the same Lep, but it would be an abnormal way to talk about his age.

There's no particular point in discussing the subject anyway. Consider this: the guy who started the thread gives an explanation for why the Leprechaun wore the same costume in #5 and #6. The only problem is that the Lep DIDN'T wear the same costume in both movies, and the costume in #6 is a very noticeable style change from all the previous movies. da_hulk_666's costume discussion apparently came from carelessly reading my statement that the Lep had the same FACE MAKEUP in both movies. It looks like da_hulk_666 isn't paying very close attention to the movies themselves or to what people are saying about them, and it's pretty fruitless trying to convince someone under those circumstances.

reply

If it was the same Lep, he would have gone for his last coin from the first movie. Plus the 600/2000 thing.

reply

Well in, in the 1st one he says he's 600 years old and in the 2nd, he's 2000 years old. Therefore they can't be the same lep. Simple case of mathematics. Duh.

reply

And in the first movie he still has power over people that have his gold. In the second film he can't harm anybody that has his gold.

reply

Probably just a plot hole. I can't imagine it wasn't intended to be the same Leprechaun *shrugs*

reply

Pretty sure it was supposed to be the same leprechaun in all of them. It's just the writers and director of Leprechaun 2 pretty much ruined the series by not following any of the first film and attempting to do his own take on the Leprechaun. This would lead to none of the other sequels following any continuity. So every director for the later films pretty much went with their own rules and don't follow any from previous films. Which is a good and bad thing but there is still no convincing me that it isn't or wasn't supposed to be the same leprechaun in every film.

reply

Is it out of the realm of possibility that the Leprechaun lied about his age?

Laugh it up, fuzzball.

reply

He could've lied about his age, but he had a different costume on in every movie.

This conclusively proves he was a different Leprechaun. Nobody in history ever had the ability to change clothes.
