How was this on Gene Siskel's Best List of 1989 if it came out in 1994?

The IMDb for this title lists this as a trivia:

"Was #5 on Gene Siskel's list of the Best Films of 1989."

Is that true, or is there a mistake either on his list or on the year of this film? When was it actually made?

That looks like an error. It was on Ebert's list (as #5) in 1994.
