Okay, I probably haven't seen this movie since 1997 at the latest, I used to love it as a kid.

Recently on Youtube, I saw a clip of the ending where Lassie falls into the river saving the boy.

My big question - Does she come back at the ending, or is she dead?

This has been irking me for weeks, and now I can't find the goddamn VHS copy of this I used to own!

Glad she did, but in context of watching her dead body being swept away down river, smacks of a last minute "miracle." One of the things I did like about this movie is that Lassie is almost a spirit-being and a legend, with a near sixth-sense about things. Very much like the old Lassie.

She was just being still when she went down the waterfall, probably tired.
