surprisingly good

Wow. Im not a KITT fan, and this is probably why I really liked this movie.
Camera work was good, I especially loved the 'running wild' scene where Hannah was learning her new 'body'. Humor was funny, cars were good looking and fast, girls were sexy, acting was professional.

All in all a good stand alone movie, just don't expect a KITT sequel/prequel/Hasselhoff and you will love it.

It was a good movie... FOR ME TO POOP ON!

I've certainly seen worse movies.
(I've also seen better behavior at the primate house at the Zoo than many of the regular posters I've seen here at the IMDB, but I Digress.)

It seemed to me that it was Not originally penned as a Knight Rider story, but as it's own entity.
Perhaps when it was pitched to the studio, they felt it was good (enough) but had too much similarity to Knight Rider what with the talking armored supercar and all, so they decided to re-title it as "Knight Rider 2010" to avoid the "Ripoff" moniker. ;)

As for the failings of the movie, my main gripes are on the Automotive technology aspects of the film.
Just more proof that people that don't know squat about cars shouldn't write about them without getting a knowledgeable adviser.

I'm so glad IMDB is relatively anonymous so that I can admit this openly but:

That moment totally made the movie for me (which I'd have otherwise written off as utterly forgettable)

There were MANY problems with the story, dialogue, acting, effects, etc., etc. ad nauseum, but this flick won me over with that ridiculously cornball "Hannah racing" scene with its amped-up "Rain Man" music.

I have to admit, I'm a sucker for "alternate versions" and "elseworlds" and "reboots." This movie showed us an alternate Knight Rider finding his destiny and arming himself with his defining weapons, an armored supercar ("super" relative to the setting, of course) and its artificial brain.

So yeah, when Hannah takes off down the road, it gave me a stupid little geek-gasm, like when River Phoenix spots the bullwhip in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."

Yes, not too bad for a 90s sci-fi TV movie. 5/10 from me.
