...the Boogeyman?

OK, I know it may seem kind of silly now, but he scared the absolute CRAP out of me as a kid. I couldn't stand anything about him, I remember running off and hiding whenever I heard his music...and for a long time I couldn't even play level four because I couldn't figure out how to avoid him. I know now that what you have to do is keep Rosella moving (he comes out when she is standing still for a long time, unless you are in the Coroner's House) and if you're outside and need to mull something over, pause the game.

What I still can't figure out, though, is where that stupid snake-shaped branch is. "On the tree by the deadfall" doesn't really do anything for me.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on my cat

The boogeyman scared the crap out of me when i heard his voice a long time ago. That was creepy as hell. As for the branch theres a screen where there is a pile of bones in the left side. One right side of the screen there is a branch that changes. When it sticks out hes there when its gone call the grave digger with the horn and he will do his work on the bone pile. Make sure the branch is down or the boogeyman's voice will freak you out.

Oh my gosh, I was so scared of him! When he started coming out of the ground I would panic and run out of the room until my sister or someone moved Rosella for me. I was actually babysitting about four years ago and they had this game, and we played. When the Boogeyman started attacking, the little girls started screaming and had nightmares for weeks. I guess you know something this old is good when a nine-year old from 2002 still gets scared!

We got the wrong play, the wrong director, the wrong cast. Where did we go right?

LOL, Thankks, guys. I'll try to keep a lookout for it.

And yes, he gave me nightmarws too. I was nine years old back when I first saw him in 1994, and things haven't changed even though now I'm twenty.

it took me forever to turn Rosella back into a human so I had to get my mom's friend to show me all the steps and that's like the only thing I can figure out haha

what always scared me was the Crystal Dragon though.

hahah omg yeah i would scream when he popped outta the ground and grabbed you.

me and my sister used cheat codes to beat the game :) hah well we were only about 7 or 8

its still one of my favorite games! i feel like playing it right now. ): but it doesnt work on our latest and greatest computers! argh!

my sis and i played this game many a time years ago-still play it now on occasion......the boogeyman scared the sh-t outta us too....

OMG! ME TOO! AND THAT EVIL BEAR IN THE LEVEL WITH THE DEERGUY! I'M GETTING THE CHILLS RIGHT NOW! MY SISTER USED TO TRICK ME AND TELL ME SHE WASN'T GONNA GO TO THE PART WITH THOSE GUYS, AND SHE REALLY DID! I was so scared, omg.

Well, I just started playing again and I'm at level 4...I haven't seen him yet, though, and I'll keep a closer eye out for that snake-shaped branch...I thought of a new idea that I can't believe I hadn't thought of before. When you're playing the game through a window you haven't maximized (meaning you can still see the desktop on the computer), you can click anywhere outside it and it will 'pause' the game. Hopefully when I do this I can look for the snake-shaped branch (and determine which direction it's pointing in) without fear of the Boogeyman popping up and without that annoying "Chapter Progress" box blocking most of the screen.

See, I'm not very smart, so I have to do things differently than most people would.
