they made another one??? i can't beleive this last i heard was when they made kickboxer 4 and that movie was'nt so hot. why can't they just leave good movies alone without destroying the title with sequels, kickboxer was a great movie that i loved watching when i was growing up and they have to destroy it with so many sequels, fair enough 2 was ok and 3 was tolerable but they should just quit while they are ahead.
Kickboxer 2 was ok. 3 was my favorite. But youre right, they should have stopped at 3. Tong Po being in part 4 ruined it by using the same villian too much. Kickboxer 5 had a good storyline but David Sloan getting killed ruined the movie and the franchise.
David Sloan declined to join the Negal kickboxing Federation so Mr.Negal sent 3 of his henchmen to kill David. David held his own but the numbers game came into play. He was was killed by a fatal blow.
In my opinon Kickboxer 4 was better than 3 and 2. It wasn't better than 1 but at least it didn't have an annoying kid in it. And at least there was you know, like actual kickboxing. Kickboxer 3 had lame villains and not so good choreography. As for the fifth one, i'm not sure why they even bothered especially since it has nothing to do with the series, they should've just left it alone and let it be a stand alone film. But the Kickboxer series sold very well, unlike Bloodsport sequels, Kickboxer series actually comes on cable once in awhile and they were all released to theaters around the world, unlike the Bloodsport series. If i'm not mistaken didn't 3 and 4 get limited releases.
I totally agree with you there, 1 is always better cus its new. I absolutely love 5. Bought it the minute it came out. Still have it on tape. I still watch it every now and again. Mainly cus Geoff is so handsome in it :) And Mark as well, combination I can get totally used too.
Yea, I hate how people who like the Kickboxer Franchise, never mention they like Kickboxer 1. That definitly was the best one. Mid 80s movies were the best. Jean-Claude didn't need *beep* choreographing either, because he really was a Kickboxing champion.
