My favourite Shahrukh Khan film so far...

..and one of my favourite Hindi films!

This was an absolute joy to watch. The characters were well drawn and everything felt really convincing and authentic. It was also more grounded in reality, which I appreciated. I was weeping during the last half an hour; one really does care for the characters.

The performances by all were superb. I especially enjoyed Shahrukh Khan's acting; I love him and his films but occasionally, some things are a little annoying. None of those annoyances were present here.

I really wish this film was more popular. While I enjoy films like Mohabbatein, Darr and Kabhi Kuhushi Kabhi Gham, they certainly do not hold a candle to Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.

Did anyone else notice a passing similarity to 500 Days of Summer (which was made much later in 2009)?
