The Nostalgia Critic reviews Junior

Acid freakout + scenes of frightening Arnold baby + use of Animaniacs clips = a darn good review.

For years I've wondered why few people talk about this movie anymore, instead using titles like Eraser or Batman & Robin to describe the worst of Arnold's career. Is this movie so dull, so nauseating, so stupid an idea (it's not just pregnant Arnold... it's Arnold as a pregnant nerd) that people were actually able to block it from their memories? Well, I certainly hope I achieve that ability one day.

And it's a good thing to know that the Critic's finally tired of the Cookie remix. You'd think he'd learned his lesson after Nickelodeon Month about the overuse of theme songs.

Now I have three sequels. Ho ho ho.

The title card features the Critic holding a coathanger. You all know what that represents and I have to say, that was going just a bit too far.

I really don't know what to think of this film. Actually, the NC review seemed kind of short and bland, but I still sat through it. The vomiting gag wasn't the least bit funny and kind of dragged out. And his "boring" music video pretty much summed up how bored I was with his review. I think the only funny part was his "Arnold the Librarian" bit and possibly the ending.

As for the film, well, the whole Arnold being pregnant seemed kind of ridiculous. He should just stick to action films. I can't imagine how a man could be pregnant and actually give birth (C-section perhaps?). And I suppose Danny DeVito agreed to be in the film since he was also in Twins with Arnold.

With a director like Ivan Reitman, I guess I was expecting more. He did a great job directing Ghostbusters, which is one of my favorite films, but did a horrible job with Junior. Hopefully the NC's Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer reviews will be better.
