Arnie's ultimate wooden acting film

Arnie seemed to still be in Terminator mode throughout most of this film. I know we can probably say that about a lot of his films, but it was quite bad in this one.

Wasn't he (Alexander Hess) supposed to be German? Germanic scientist, I've red are quite like that, stiff, emotionless, etc. Arnold was just going through the motions, even Mr. Freeze was more alive.

What...what in the butt. I said what..what in the butt- Butters Stotch.

On the contrary to the biggest degree - Arnold did some superb acting in this film!

He totally embraced the bizarre situation his character was in... I thought it was hilarious watching this manly icon embrace the feminine side. He had great comedic timing.

Junior isn't a comedy that's funny because of punchlines, it's funny because of the subtleties and human behaviour. I was truly surprised by how funny Arnold was in this movie

O_O The post up there about German scientists being stiff and emotionless... lol! That's so funny, I work with a few German research scientists and our principal research scientist is German too, and both of them are actually very fun and outgoing people, lol! I love those Germans, haha.

I actually think that this is one of Arnold's finest performances.

He was perfectly fine as a shy understated scientist that went through the hormonal surges of pregnancy.

Arnie is always terrible.

It's been a while since I've seen either this or Twins, but I remember finding them more entertaining because you had Danny Devito carrying the comedy aspect of the movies. Arnie was more about the physical comedy. In this it was the comedy of a man being pregnant, especially one the size of Arnold Schwarzenegger. In Twins, all he had to do is basically be massive to juxtapose himself with his twin who was much smaller than himself.

If you watch something like Jingle All The Way, where he doesn't have a talent like Devito carrying him, his lack of comedy timing is even more obvious.

The chemistry between Arnie and Danny in Twins was great, but I thought he was damned funny in Junior.

He is absolutely hilarious in Jingle All The Way (whether it was intentional is up for debate). It's quoted all the time for a reason. 'Put that cookie down! Now!'.
