Yes, Lyric died....why don't ppl get it

That was a dream sequence or Jason imaginning that she lived. Remember he tells her about the plane he use to watch as a kid? That same plane he describes is flying over them as the bus is moving down the road. He was dreaming or imagining happh thoughts that Lyric had lived and the plane he sawas a kid flying over them. By the way they show him and everyone else screaming and crying as he's slowly carrying her body to the ambulance.

I suggest you look at some of the other threads on this. You failed to acknowledge the bandage that was wrapped around her arm in the final sequence. That's indication enough that she survived.

One of the key themes in the movie is ghosts. The film in fact begins where it ends, on the bus out of town, with Jason as the narrator beginning a monologue about "ghosts."

I suppose it could have been more clear if Jada Pinkett was shot via double-exposure and made transparent, but we're seeing fantasy images in the final few shots: Lyric, his father, the flower field, the plane, etc.

Came here to see if any new questions came up ... I always love helping others out when I possibly can. But as other poster told you ~ there are plenty of threads already about this.

People don't get it because she didn't die.
