i liked the ending

I dunno, I guess even though everything's still kept in ironic lies and what not I like it. Everyone's somewhat happy. Well, except for Vincent who's dead, but his wife thinks he chose her and his mistress thinks he chose her. Just makes you think I suppose.

Now. . . bring me that horizon

I liked the ending as well, I think this movie's been pretty underrated here

I agree. I thought the ending was the perfect way to end the film. This was an amazing movie. I'm surprised I never heard of it before I watched it on TV a few weeks ago. Definitely underrated.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

Well, I for one had been waiting to see this movie for quite a long time, for the sole reason that Jennifer Morrison (of House MD) was in it, and I liked it. It was definitely one of her better movies (though I'm not gonna lie, that's not saying much) but it was definitely good. And sad in the end. I kind of cried.

It was a good movie to watch with your spouse for the WE channel late at night. It did not dissapoint. The acting was fine for this fairy tale.

reply

I agree, but I think the wife knew he was going to come back to her, but she lied to comfort the mistress a little.

I'm quite a lovely person - apart from my terrible taste in pie.

reply

But he wasn't going back to his wife. Nevertheless, everyone acted with unexpected civility at the end. Maybe that's why people think it's a "fairy tale." Real people don't usually have that much class.

I love the scene where he meets the little curly haired kid. If she hadn't been so damn perfect that scene would have gone right over the edge into muck, but she was, so even if you feel like you're being a little emotionally manipulated, somehow it still feels right.

I agree, great ending. Great movie! I love this movie.. it if filmed beautifully, the rain, the boat, the museum. I thought it was artfully done.

I really disliked the ending. This guy leads two women on in life...and continues to do so in his afterlife. The women will live their lives idealizing this guy who cheated on one as he chased the uninterested other woman...and then made her miserable. He finally commits to his mistress and then pulls the a**hole move of speeding and endangering multiple lives...only to have his irresponsible behaviour bring about his own death. But these two ladies will eventually see him as a saint when really he was just a jerk, through and through. :-(

reply

It could be about the 2 women showing compassion for each other when the normal thing expected would be for them to try and get even.
Would you really want them to start yelling at each other and to have a cat fight outside the hospital?

Love Richard Gere,Sharon Stone,
& Lolita Davidovich,in the movie entitled:
INTERSECTION

I just caught this again on cable last night. I can't believe it has such a low rating. I have seen this many times and I always enjoy it. I thought Lolita Davidovich was the perfect "fire" to Sharon Stone's "ice". Richard Gere was at his most appealing. And the ending was very moving. Both women handled it with dignity and kindness.

If Sally had given her the letter, Olivia still had the message on her machine where he said it was 8:15 in the morning, he changed his mind and wanted to marry her and make a life with her. She would have know that he wrote the letter the night before, after the fight in the car when he dropped her off from the museum, and then changed his mind, because it was never sent. It's Sally who would have been absolutely devastated to the core, so ironically, each in the end "wins" despite their grief. I liked Sharon in this movie too.

It also doesn't look 20 years old, except for the phone answering machine where she had to use that little beeper to retrieve her message, the typewriter, no cellphones, the old CRT computer screens and payphones (and the hippies in the VW bus).
