Was Delores Lynch's House Haunted?

After recently watching the movie Bitter Blood I picked up a copy of the book to read. I had heard that there was much more about these families and these murders in the book and after watching the movie I wanted to find out more. Although I'm only halfway through with the book, I was amazed when I read the first part of the book where it referenced some strange incidences that occurred in the Lynch house. First of all Chuck Lynch (Delores' husband) died in the basement of the house. Apparently after his retirement he began drinking and had become such an alcoholic that he suffered DT's and hallucinations. After his death Delores' maid Helen swore that she would hear someone walking around the house as well as people talking. This would occur when she was at the house alone cleaning. She also said that many times she could see the imprint of a man's foot in the Persian rugs when no one had been walking on them. Also, Janie's fiancee stayed at the house one weekend, sleeping in the basement where Chuck had basically lived the last years of his life and he awoke drenched in perspiration, shaken, and feeling a total eeriness that prompted him to never go back to the house again. The strangest occurrence was after the murders of Delores and Janie. After the bodies were removed the house was sealed off by police officers, one of which had the duty of watching the house all night but couldn't stay inside because he felt something sinister inside that house. A few days later a couple of police officers arrived to do some more investigative work inside the house and upon entering the front of the house found a pile of leaves on the floor in the shape of a cross. The house was always kept immaculate by Delores so they couldn't understand why leaves would be in the hallway. They thought it was a practical joke constructed by the other officers but upon inquiry no one had put the leaves there. The only thing they could conclude was that the leaves had blown in at some point and had gotten stuck behind the mirror hanging on the wall and that the slamming of the door had dislodged them and they had just fallen to the floor in the shape of a cross. They never had an explanation for it other than this. Does anyone have any more information about this? I wonder if others have lived in that house in Kentucky and if they have experienced any odd phenomena. Would appreciate any insight into this if anyone knows anything.
