referance to pirates of the carribean

ey, in this movie a referance is made to the pirates of carribean, but that movie was made ten years later, can anyone explain.

Pirates of the Carribean is a ride at Disneyland, been there since March of '67. Perhaps they refer to that...

When I first saw a commercial for the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" I saw the scene with the dog and the keys and started laughing so hard I nearly fell on the floor! Having gone to a university in Southern California in the early 1970s, I went to Disneyland a LOT and the Pirates of the Caribbean was one of my favorite rides. I can tell you with 100% certainty that the dog with the keys and the prisoners whistling to him is indeed in the ride. They put that into the movie as well as the many other scenes from the ride.

That's so funny. I had to rewind the movie twice to make sure he was saying what I think he was saying.

reply

Yes dummy he talking about the ride in disney world and the mange dog holding the key it is exatly like the ride.....travel a little bit at least to disney.

yae the ride is creepy its a bunch of realistic anamotronic (however you spell) pirates and at the end it shows pirates in jail and the dog has keys in its mouth and the pirates are trying to get them a great ride tho.

Are you sure you're not thinking about Treasure Island?

That is exactly why I logged on to imdb today to find out! Glad I'm not the only one!

Anyone who did not know that Pirates was a ride before it was a film needs to go get some culture. I mean damn, its only the most endearing ride in all of the Magic Kingdom, featured in both the orlando and the san diego parks. You people have also probably never heard of The Swiss Family Robinson, or Bryer Rabbit.

reply

Ok...I was confused as well when I saw this movie. But it is indeed a refrence to the ride. It could either be the Disneyland one in Aniheim,CA or at Disney World in Orlando,FL. I doubt it's a reference to Disneyland Paris. More than likely it is Disneyland thought because don't they live in CA? Well both were built at the time this movie was made. I'm not sure if it was a book but if you guys say so. The Swiss Family Robinson and actually many Walt Disney rides and movies are based on books or stories. The beauty of Walt Disney was he took a sotry and made it his own. The only down side to this is many children think that Disney's Snow White or Cinderella is *THE* Snow White or Cinderella when in fact, there are mnay versions of it.

Pauly Shore owned a time machine. He always reffrenced movies and events that would happen in the future. Remember that he also said that they took Saddam away from power.

Yep, Pauly Shore is God. FACT.
