Why the hate?

I don't get all of the negative reviews of this movie. I really enjoyed it. James L. Brooks is one of my favorite writer/directors and I love all of his films. Maybe that's why I liked I'll Do Anything so much. I also usually dislike Nick Nolte, but for some reason, I have always loved this movie, and it's been one of my favorite JLBrooks movies for awhile now (aside from Terms of Endearment and As Good As It Gets).

The acting is wonderful (especially by Whittney Wright who is a fantastic actress) and the story is really interesting.

Agreed. Except Whittni Wright is a little much.

I think she's a lot much, but I enjoyed this film moderately otherwise. 6/10 stars from me.

Its essentially a musical thats gone wrong. Given Brooks outstanding movie record this really was lightweight.

Its that man again!!
