Can you blame Cathy for Letting Down Matt(Nolte)

down, when he jumped out of bed during sex to be a patsy and go watch TV with his brat daughter? I swear, that babysitter was a real bitch too, berating him over that crap on the phone; when before she told him not to give into his daughter.
Cathy felt let down so when the boss put the sex appeal question to her, she folded. Maybe if he finished his sex with her, she would have backed him?

BTW,
A remake of "Mr. Deeds", how freaking mundane and commercial, calling Adam Sandler.

What are they doing? Why do they come here?
Some kind of instinct, memory, what they used to do.

No kidding. Cathy was were the action was!

Um, you don't hold actually being a parent, against someone like that! He wasn't being a patsy, he was being a FATHER and putting a promise/compromise he made with his daughter, ahead of his own wants. If you are going to get involved with someone who is an active parent, or becomes an active parent, you just have to accept that at times, the kid will come first.

You are also comparing two different things. In the beginning he was simply letting her get her way with no discipline or ability to say no to her. Later on, he was breaking a promise he made to the girl. Breaking a promise (a deal or compromise) with a child, especially one you are still getting to know as they were, only teaches the child not to trust you or count on you to follow through on your word. So next time, why should she do what he asks when he fell through on their deal before.
