IF UR EXPECTING, READ HERE FIRST!!!

at the risk of slightly spoiling the movie, i just want to let every expecting mother know that

*SLIGHT SPOILER*

the childbirth scene is QUITE disturbing... it certainly made me think twice about having a baby, ever. i have watched this movie 5+, but i always close my eyes during that scene after i saw it the first time. so if you are expecting, you might wanna close your eyes (you'll know when the scene's coming).

Btw, the movie is excellent. my favorite movie from mainland china.

Yes, the scene is disturbing and incredibly heart-wrenching... but keep in mind that had Fengxia had access to a fully-trained doctor, it most likely would not have ended in the same way. I wouldn't let that be your deciding factor on whether or not you have a child. :)
