is this the movie where the parents have a deaf daughter and young son who gets killed, and then the deaf daughter grows up to get married and i think she dies during her pregnancy? is this the movie?? because i have been looking for it for so long, and i had no idea what the title was or who the director is, but im pretty sure this is it..

The daughter was not deaf. She became mute after a medical trauma when she was a child.
