Music during "laughing montage"?

What classical piece is played during the "laughing montage" when Norville is appointed president of Hudsucker?

reply

It's part of Carter Burwell's original score. It intentionally references, but does not exactly copy, Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance, which is often used as a graduation march but was originally written as a funeral march.

I suppose that's the point, in this context.

Thanks a lot for the response.
This indeed confirms a suspicion I had since the music reminded me of the Pomp & Circumstance Marches (No 1 & 4) played in "A Clockwork Orange" during the scenes when the minister visits the prison and when Alex is transferred to hospital as guinea pig for the Ludovico technique, as Norville is used as fall guy by Sid Mussburger.
