Who is that guy who sings on TV that Kevin is watching in the beginning?"

That is Dave Del Dotto who appeared in infomercials selling his real estate strategies. These are nothing more than get rich quick schemes that never work. But that is precisely what Kevin is obsessed with in the beginning of the movie, just like with the baseball cards, etc. This Del Dotto guy was sued by the FTC and paid a $200,000 fine for making false claims. Apparently he is in the wine business today.

It's not Dave Del Dotto, it's John Davidson doing a promo for Dave. John used to co-host That's Incredible in the 80s.
