I absolutely adore this film. It spoke volumes to my soul and changed my life. Christopher Doyle is the most amazing DP ever. Please, everyone see this film. I think it speaks better to older (over 25) people vs. younger. Maybe that is why the reviews here are so split.

Just amazing.

i agree, i didn't see anything spectacular about this as a teenager, but now as i'm older i can appreciate it much more. It's no masterpiece but it's otherwise very good memorable film.

the power of film for me is to touch the soul....that's what this film means to me. I didn't call it a masterpiece. It just touched me deeply. That for me is the sign of an AMAZING film! WATCH IT!
