I disagree. I think young Joseph put on an excellent performance.

But the script does fudge the biblical stricture. God's command to the younger brother was not merely to say some words. He was supposed to 'go in unto' his late brother's wife and 'give his brother a child'. Had the writers followed the biblical command they would have created a considerably more controversial film :-)

I've only seen this movie once and I was five or six at the time but I thought it was funny. But I don't know how much my taste in movies has changed since I was a fiveyear-old x)

I bought this from target for 4.95 and just watched it, it was hilarious. Joseph was so cute then and it's weird except for his voice and height he still looks the same. Even at 13 he was a good actor.
