Only follows the first film, not the tv series. Which was a big mistake. Duncan could have had a supporting role or at least a cameo in Scotland. Just so dumb that Mac tricked himself into thinking he won the prize.

But it was made after the series and oil lows it's rules.

How so? When Kane and Connor violate the holy ground rule all that happens is (oddly enough) Connor's sword shatters, but not Kane's and windows shatter revealing holy shrines. In the show, natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions occur when immortals violate that.

Also, no reference to Duncan or Watchers or Hunters, yet we do reference Kurgan and Ramirez. Also why would Mac think he was the last after training Duncan for Slan Quince in the series pilot? And why would Duncan not be at the reunion or whatever it was in Scotland? I think Connor would atleast be like hey anyone know what's up with Duncan.

Not to mention this film makes clear Brenda died in a car crash. The series pilot implies (but does not directly state, it's true) that she and Rachel were likely killed by Slan Quince, hence Connor's line "he'll make sure you suffer, by taking away all that you love in this world, until you don't know if you want to live or die. That's your way, isn't it Slan." Which also explains why Connor was after him and taking it so personal with his "not this time Duncan, this one is mine." Slan was about to do the same with Duncan as we saw with him threatening Tessa all the time. Anyhow, it's kept vague enough that we don't know for sure, with Slan even pretending not to know who Connor is at first, then going, "o yes, you!"

Either way, Endgame makes it non-canon by having Connor locked away in a sanctuary during the events of Final Dimension/Sorcerer and of course, MacLeod does not have the power of illusion. Rachel is killed at the start instead of most likely by Slan Quince.

Well that's why I asked the question. Also, the next sequel actually hands the reins over to Duncan
