Was'nt this part of a series of movies made for TV? I think one of them had a martial arts aspect? I think it was called "Amazing Action" or something. There was supposed to be a different chapter for each movie every so many weeks.

shareIt was part of the "Universal Action Pack" which included other one off features that didn't fare as well as Herc. I vaguely remember a cheesy Road Warrior knockoff featuring trucks with giant tires in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Indeed it was, Action Pack or something like that. There was this, Vanishing Son (the martial arts one that started out very well but then faltered big time), Knight Rider 2010, iirc, and maybe I'm mistaken on this one, but I think TekWar was another one, and I seem to recall one based on Smokey and the Bandit around the same time, though it may not have been part of the Action Pack.
