I usually think she is so boring, and just mediocre, but this performance is just ahead of her work in Eternal Sunshine, IMO. This was a daring, raw, thrilling performance.

Despite her youth, her performance was so confident and assured. I sat up and took notice from her very first moments on-screen - I just knew we were going to hear from her big-time.
In my case, self-absorption is completely justified.
Some people are just born with a natural talent for acting in their blood. An acting class or course won't do anything if you haven't already got the gift, genetically.
shareBoth girls were great, as was the rest of the cast. It is probably a testament to the director's ability. But yeah, I've never seen Winslet being as good as she is in this. Great movie.
