Is there any specific reason why Corben looks like Lisker from the first movie? Also, the same Zoanoid appearance shows up during the native ritual where they too change. I'm just curious why Lisker's just such a pivotal appearance for these Zoanoids? The fossil and all. Did the film company not have anymore money to create a new 'suit' so they just took the old one. I liked this movie a lot, I just don't fully understand THAT part of it. Please, someone enlighten me on this.

I'm sure the deleted response told u(apparently in an inappropriate way), but the zoanoid creature that corben inhabited was probably a class of zoanoid of higher ranking. Just like in the anime(& manga), there were a large number of the same kinds of zoanoids 2 reflect what ranking they held (or possibly which lab they were created in) at the time. And also notice the skull of that type of zoanoid that was found within the dig resembled (and Sean identified it as) Lisker.
