I'm trying to get a new Guyver movie made.

I pitched a new Guyver idea to a movie producer and he's looking into it. The story isn't about Steve Wangs version of the Guyver but its a new take on the story of Guyver Zero. Stay confident; this deal could go down any day now.

I would think, given the right pitch, a big budget version of Guyver could be green lighted by a major studio.

I pitched the idea to a Hollywood producer and he took to it immediately. I know it takes time to get the rights and financing sorted out. I pitched the idea at a value of $100 million to make. Just playing the waiting game now!

Thanks, Im on the edge of my seat waiting for a call back on my project to be green lighted.

Sorry but i'm curious since Guyver zero was a caveman is your adaptation a period piece or are you going to simply use Guyver zero to tell a brand new story in the present?

And even though your version is not connected with Steve Wang's Guyver, it would still be cool if you could get him a bored for the creature designs.

Think about it.

My version of Guyver Zero will be a new story that takes place in the present time, and Im trying to convince the producer to let Steve Wang direct the movie!

I wish you luck man and hope it all works out. This is honestly one of the few projects I dreamed of being involved in. As soon as I have some kind of experience and credentials under my belt, and also if no one has done anything with it, I will go all out to do something with this franchise.

My vision has it cg and R. Problem is, I don't think there is a market big enough for that combination.

Im looking forward to this being R rated( I will except nothing less). I have been looking forward to this getting made also. If only this page had more traffic then maybe it would speed up the process in this project getting made. With all of the weak superhero movies that came out last year(every superhero movie had the same feel to it, by that I mean everyone of the hero's have to fall in love in order to better themselves to defeat their enemy). With my Guyver idea there will be no love story, Im going to give everyone a guyver movie that we have been wanting for. Again Im not retelling the story of sho(guyver one)or shawn because the anime has basically been remade and their is only so many times you can retell the same story before it gets stale. But I promise, if and when my idea gets green lighted, this adoption of the guyver will be true and close(as close to the source material with a different take)to the story.

Cool cool. And you would know better than me, but what are the chances of something like this getting green lit? From what's been happening, execs seem to stay on a cookie cutter path because in their eyes, that's what makes money. Like how you mentioned the love story and whatnot. Even though I enjoyed most of the super hero movies I see your point.

I need to look up Guyver Zero too. I honestly have no clue what that is. I've only been introduced to the old anime with the female Guyver 2 and also the re-release.

Its all about what makes $$$$$$$$$$, The guyver has a number of sources that it can profit from(video games, action figures, another anime t.v series based on guyver zero or continuing with sho) plus its very possible that their could be two versions of the Guyver Zero movie when it hits theaters(both R rated and PG 13 rated). What Im trying to say is that there is to many ways for this movie to make money then not to green light it. The love story angle is way overdone and from what I have seen, everyone wants a solid action/solid story guyver movie, not some drama love story. Look at all the superhero movies and not one past $500 million(why do you ask) because they where to similar with the love story angle.

any progress? i have a suggestion of using a female guyver as that hasn't been seen on film yet. also as they have not appeared in the comics or anime to my knowledge dont show the Creators especially since the story implys that they are gods and some people my be uncomfortable.

Nothing yet, i pitched the idea last july so we might have to wait until july(supposedly hollywood is always a year behind when it comes to projects being seen).

The creators and guyvers zeros orgin is a big part of my movie idea so the creators or at least one has to be a key piece in my guyver zero idea(thats the only way to introduce guyver zero into the present time).
There will be a female guyver introduced in a planned sequel that i have been planning. But thats in future sequels.

How did it go, I want to see this made. My dream come true!!

Is there any update to this story? I'm currently working on my first film as a director and would love to be involved in a Guyver movie.

Would be awesome!

Nope nothing is going to happen. Op doesn't even know the difference between accept and except, what makes you think he could get a multi-million dollar movie going.

reply

I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe people are buying into the OP's fantasy. The guy could barely string a sentence together, what makes you think he nailed a sales pitch? The guy is probably a teenager.
