Because I love this film. And their rotten DVD of it has horrid sound, a disgusting cover and is in crappy 1.33:1, pan-and-scan when the film was shot in scope 2.35:1 widescreen.
No wonder they went out of business.
Hey Lions Gate...puh-lease re-release this in it's OAR.
I couldn't agree more, I'd like to add this to my DVD collection, but will only do so, when the movie is released in its proper widescreen aspect ratio.

This is in the correct aspect ratio (I own this myself) and I think there is an Hungarian DVD release as well that is in 2.35:1.
I wondered about that, I just picked up the DVD for a couple bucks, it has a label on the back that says "presented in the original 1.33:1 ratio in which the film was shot." That sounded like horse puckey to me.

Don't wast money on the HD version though as its just upscaled SD.
That is kinda a dumb reason to hate Artisan, but each to their own.
