Favorite scene

I loved it when they dug her up and Doug wanted to be sure she was clean and in good condition when people saw her. I thought this was very sweet of him.

It's on Ch5 [UK] now! I love the telling-off the President gives Cage over the phone! And the seatbelt row scene LOL!

When they kick the other guys off the copter to let her agents on, and when she tells the guy to stay out of her conversation so she can talk to Doug.

Mine is when she's watching the footage of her husbands funeral and she rewinds to see Doug rub his eyes. That is when you learn she isn't just crazy and mean but that she wants him around because he really cared about her husband.

+1. The look that David Graf gives Dale Dye is priceless!

...one of the best scenes is when the secretary goes up to Doug and nudges him in the chest twice.

- the first time she says, " the first lady hired her.." ..nudges him again and says, "..when no body else would"

...that was a very moving short scene.

Haven't seen this flick in over ten years. Extremely under-rated, very funny, I can't believe it's only a 6.0 on IMDb.
There are so many funny scenes. The phone calls from the president were hysterical.
My favorite (funny) scene was probably when Tess learns he shot the chauffer in the toe and says something like "Oh Douglas, and after all that practice".

I'd have to say the hospital scene where Doug pulls the gun to find out where she is at. So much emotion......then as completion when she is free and their bond afterwards.

I haven't seen it in a long time, but I still remember the scene when she is going on and on and on and Cage's character says something like "Get in the d*mn chair!" and she shuts up and listens.

I love this movie -- it's such a unique little film.

My favorite scenes include:

• All of the president's fabulous irate calls to Doug
• Doug and Tess's reconciliation cup of coffee/booze
• Tess's messing with the agents over someone smoking in the supermarket
• Tess's face when she watches her husband's funeral (and we see Doug as the one person expressing honest grief)
• Doug telling the new agents to be careful of the furniture when Tess is kidnapped
• The call for Doug and Tess's secret service detail
• Frederick picking the right dress for Tess
• Tess thanking Doug for rescuing her
• The genial way Doug's boss (the wonderful Mr. Rebhorn) tells Tess, "Shot a man in the toe!"
• The final scene in which we see that Doug and Tess are now equals because they both know how much they are loved

A sweet, gentle film.
