I'm confused about her husband

Her husband is the president in office now? (in this movie, time) I've always wondered this. I thought he died though, midway through the movie we see her watching a Home video of a funeral. Yet then sometime later she mentions that her husband is coming & she gets her hair done. So which is it? And also if her husband is very much alive why is she in Ohio & not in the White House?

No, her husband (the former President) died in office. The current president was his vice president...who is now the president, which is why he said he owes them so much (as I would assume he was elected after serving as President afterwards).
Make sense?

that does, thanx, but then why mention that her "husband" is coming to visit now?
