Wonder Why?

I wonder why Art Blakey, when asked what he remembers about that day and
the photo session, answers that "he tried to forget it."

Is that his way; or is he arrogant with a chip on his shoulder???

Makes me wonder?

Anyone out there know him personally or anything about him.

I like his talent, his ability and his contributions to the genre;
but I thought these musicians were proud of the fact that they participated
in something historical and forever documented!!
