help nedded on media project about 'Lesbians in film'.

Hello, I'm doing a Media Studies research project about "Lesbians in Film". I would be really grateful if anyone could give me any responses on my topic question. The question is :
How realistic is the representation of gay women in film?
Any opinions or views on the subject would be very useful and much appreciated.
