The VHS use to be pretty expensive. I bought myself a copy about 2 years ago off Amazon.com for about $16 used! It's very cheap on their now though http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/6303155057/ref=dp_olp_2/103-8499861-0693468?ie=UTF8 I wish someone would release Ghoulies 3 & 4 on DVD like they did with parts 1 and 2.

shareI purchaed this film for 80 cents, on VHS, yesterday at a video store.
It has the original case too. Amazing. As soon as I purchased it I felt so alive, so reassured that my life has meaning. Visions of richness and grandeur permeated my thoughts soon after, as I fully realized that I will be famous and successful, and reach broad new horizons. A calm spirit soothed my mind, I shall be blessed; my life's troubles evaporated as I walked outside the video store to the quiet parking lot.
All because I now own my very own copy of Ghoulies IV.
Ghoulies 4 is the best.

Why do you still buy VHS?
shareI buy them because they are cheap and because they have a sort of nostalgic feeling to them. I've been collecting them since I was 8-back then there was no DVD at all. So why bother to throw them out? I still like them and I can get 10 of them for 5 bucks. I'm not going to turn down a bargain like that.

Ghoulies 4 is the worst, it's in Killer Tomatoes Strike Back territory, but with less worth.
2 and 3 are the only decent entries.
i buy VHS because theres a ton of excellent 70s-80s horror films still not on DVD, plus VHS is dirt cheap if you look in the right places. the artwork of old horror is great compared to the generic, glamour magazine style of todays horror films, about 96% of which is utter garbage
my question is why wouldn't people still buy vhs? if you're a huge horror fan, it doesn't make sense to me
The Quality of the picture and sound doesn't hold up and the ease of use it much more with dvd.
I do agree the artwork was much better on the old rentals.
There's no need to be a dick.
