Very similar to The Wire season 4.

I was watching Season 4 on DVD the other day, and it brought back memories of Fresh. A truly great, underrated film, which is sadly overlooked because of its directors later mediocrity. But apart from that, just wanted to comment on the similarities.

Yeah, I was definitely reminded of season four as well. Also, when I saw the scene where D'angelo is explaining chess to Bodie and Wallace reminded me so much of the scene with Samuel Jackson explaining chess in this.
