Who is the old guy that has the camcorder when everyone starts running outta the fair tent? He looks very familiar, but I cant place him. I think he was a famous old actor?

I thought it was the ghost of Jack Paar.

That was Calvert DeForest in his "Tonight Show" persona as Larry 'Bud' Melman. He was a regular on "The Tonight Show with David Letterman" back in the seventies, and he did at least one guest stint on "PeeWee's Playhouse" - which is where you guys probably remember him from.
mahvelous!

The Tonight Show is Jay Leno's Show. David Letterman had The Late show. Also, Pee-Wee's Playhouse on in the 70's? It didn't start until like the mid to late 80's.

The recently departed Calvert DeForest was on Letterman back when he hosted 'Late NIGHT' in the 80s.
shareYeah, he was a little bit of a pop culture phenomenon back then, he did a lot of cameo stuff. I was in NINE INCH NAIlS Closure, and he introduced NIN at woodstock 94, I think he also poped up in some music videos too. I think he may have been in No Rain by Blind Melon, if memory serves...actually I think I'm wrong about that, but I think I saw him in a music video before.

Wasn't he in one of The Offspring's videos?
