Great family-friendly movie. At least 8/10 rating!

We watched The Flintstones on Netflix last night. Everyone in the family enjoyed it tremendously. We totally disagree with the low rating on IMDB. It's worth at least 8/10. Good casting, acting, and story line.

i had just seen the "vegas" flick, and then put this on, and it's on fire, the dvd has a ton of bonus material even though it was a double feature with flintstones in vegas, this seem much more adult and containing not such acceptable lines, like elizabeth taylor calling fred flintstone fatso, figure that, and fred's today's unacceptable stone age lines against wilma as she's crashing the house and leaving, i was surprised how much fun this actually was for adults and the whole family after thinking the 2000 cute juvenile movie which i had just seen was in the same tone, mel brooks' actor is funnier as only the voice of the parrot in this than he was in the 2000 movie, you're surprised finding out it's the voice of a guy born in the 1920s, like i listen to (the twilight zone) radio dramas where you got actors of variety of ages playing anything, like an actor from way past hollywood history playing teen kid to a young actor playing some retired guy, jonathan winters offers some fun too in this appearing in a smaller part as part of a mob, coincidently winters reads the original ending planned for (his appearance in) the twilight zone episode "a game of pool" on the dvd bonus material. the fact that this takes place in the stone age but set in the modern way of living is of course the constant joke throughout the entire flintstone entertainment, and noticing every bit is sort of impossible and you just pick up some things along the way, like i liked when fred was sitting at the restaurant leaned back as a big shot acting like a snob and shocked finding out barney is a "busboy", barney: - "if you'll excuse me, i'll get you a fresh tablecloth, sir".

I got interested in The Flintstones movie after METV added The Flintstones to their lineup and the movie looked impressive and I agree that there should've been more sequels to it because when you take a cartoon and make it a live action movie some fail and some do great. The Flintstones movie is one of those movies that works well

I grew up on this movie and it takes me back to the mid 90's, I give this movie an 8/10 and feel it deserves a 6.5/10 rating on IMDB
