I thought the music in this movie was really effective, and gave the film pace and made it seem better than it was. Does anyone know what happened to Erica Portnoy, and why she didn't do anything else (apart from one TV episode)? There appears to be nothing about her on the internet at all.

I agree, it almost had that Italian splatter soundtrack feel to it. The music is probably what saved this film. I'm being serious, the feature was horrendous , but the music had an almost hypnotic effect that kept me glued to the screen.
