It looks like the Region 1 Miramax DVD is out of print. This could be an indication that a new release is on the way. Anyone have any information?

shareThis hasn't been confirmed at all, but I know that Miramax and Criterion have restarted a "relationship" (both Chungking Express and The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, And Her Lover will be getting Criterion releases). Perhaps Exotica will end up getting one as well?

There is now a blu-ray/DVD combo pack of both this and The Sweet Hereafter from Alliance. It's a Region 1 Canadian import. The disc is anamorphic and includes a commentary by director Atom Egoyan.
shareThe blu-ray is worth getting just for Egoyan's commentary; but (to my eyes) the visual picture quality wasn't anything special. The original widescreen dvd looks better on my tv screen than the blu-ray.
