Is it good??

Recently I became a fan of Dana Delany, so I'm searching for films of her, and I saw that she is the first name to appear in this one, so, can you please tell me if she has a big part in this film?
Is it a good film?

Thanks!

Yes Dana Delany does a large part in the movie.....er I would say semi large part, she plays a dominatrix and from what I've heard and read about the movie, some say it's good some say it's bad (I guess depending on if you read the book or not) I haven't had the pleasure of reading it yet so I would say the movie is cute for a funky little comedy and there is some interesting seriousness about it as well, dealing with sexual intimacy and exploring one's sexuality (makes you think outside the box, no pun intended). Worth watching...? I wouldn't run out and buy it but I would give it a shot if you've never seen it and you are a fan of Dana Delany....obviously not her better works but you can check her imdb page to see others as well. Hope you enjoy the film :)

Oddly enough, it's one of the few instances where the overall user rating average on IMDb is fairly accurate for a film.

Honestly, adding in the buddy cop elements hurt this film but that's not to say it would've seen a meteoric rise to classic status even if they'd cut that junk out. It seemed like there was a more interesting (though not very) story to be had if it'd just focused on Mercurio and Delany's characters and how their relationship unfolded. Hell, they could've even kept the comedic elements in and it still would have been better than having to split time between them and O'Donnell and Akroyd's characters chasing after Iman and the smuggler.

Actually, it's an awful movie but not because of Dana Delaney who's gorgeous, sexy and very convincing as Mistress Lisa. When she's onscreen, the film is watchable and even interesting.

Unfortunately, Garry Marshall was a horrible choice to direct this and he betrays how completely uncomfortable he is with the subject matter by shoe horning an embarrassing subplot involving Dan Akroyd and Rosie O'Donnell (at their most obnoxious) as a pair of undercover cops hunting jewel thieves. It's a real shame since Dana Delaney is so good in this-she really deserved a better movie.

Ok, thanks for telling me about it!

And I agree, Dana is amazing all the time! =)

Completely agree that Gary was a horrible choice. He was also a producer which is curious to me. It could have been done so differently. Really this begs for a legitimate remake sans the topical comical kitsch.

Having said that, I didnt think the movie was horrible, not great by any means, but not unwatchable if one has the inclination. If you really cant stand Rosie and the like, then fast forward.

No, it is not good. It is bad.
