The Courtroom Scene

Here's a question. During the courtroom scene, Mira is asked by the judge what she remembers of her life in Poland. Lots of whispering seems to be going on in the background, but the subtitles don't say what is being said. If anyone who speaks Hebrew has seen this, what are the kids whispering in the background? Are they telling Mira suggestions of what to say to the judge, or are her recollections, when they come, unprompted and genuine?

reply

The kids are just whispering to her words of encouragement to let her know that they are there and that they support her.

Linda, thank you so much for replying to this! I've always wondered if they were giving her ideas of what to say or...just WHAT was going on. Thank you - this is one of my all time favorite movies and knowing that Mira's recollections were real makes it seem even better.
