2016 Depp would be perfect for Ed Wood 2

He has the look for it now - The film can be a darker sequel of Ed Wood life in the later years.

I'm a fan of Ed Wood - Actually Depp looks physically like Wood in his later years...

He did so again in Before Night Falls. I think he said he enjoyed doing it in his Inside the Actors Studio interview.

If I remember right, Ed Wood was a washed up drunk in his later years and was reduced to filming weird dracula type porn. Died broke of a heart attack....yeah Depp would be perfect to play older Ed

I'm a big fan of Wood, read all his books, seen all documentaries...Depp looks like what Ed would haved look like in Necromania film days...He & Kathy, really had a tough life when they moved in that apartment in Yucca,Hollywood.

Always remember...Don't be a sucker.

You're right! The time is ripe to make a sequel to "Ed Wood", and it could be about the making of "Orgy of the Dead" instead of "Plan 9 from Outer Space"!

Of course I don't know how much commercial interest there would be because Depp is box-office poison and "Orgy of the Dead" is largely unknown, even to bad cinema buffs, but it'd still be a hoot in the right hands. Just not Tim Burton's, as he's much to whimsical to pull off a film about a broke-down drunk transvestite who writes films about dead women rising from the grave and doing strip acts.

I think it's time for Burton and Depp to make "Coleman Francis."

His final years near the end when the alcoholism was catching up to him physically and he was resorting to doing porn.

That would be dark indeed. I can see it. I think they should get a different director for it. Maybe Fincher or Paul Schroeder.

DEPP AND BURTON WILL TURN IT INTO A MUSICAL...WITH TIES TO THE CHOCOLATE UNIVERSE...DOOPITY DOO.

That would actually make for an interesting film since Ed Wood never covers his film work in the 1960s/1970s. It would be interesting to see Ed’s further misadventures in filmmaking especially the making of his porno films of that era.
