This was a terrible plot for the movie. The whole point of the first one is that Bobby and Lanie had to get together (even if it was technically Coleman and what's-her-name). This movie makes the first one pointless since Bobby and Lanie are no longer together. The first movie loses all meaning when you watch the second.

I do realize that the plot is perhaps too advanced for some of the younger IMDB users to grasp (and is even a bit sophisticated for adults). Hopefully those that trash this gem as youngsters will see it again when they have matured a bit so that they can appreciate the genius of it all.
