I suspect that the court case was about 90% lies.

First off, I believe that this was just a well thought out plan so that Lena could have more than one guy in her life. She and Norman probably schemed on the bruises as well as golf buddies. The letters that Norman produced were probably paid for.

The Debbie girl in court was probably paid for.

The letter from the hotel manager was probably paid for.

Once again, a very well thought out plan.

Ray got screwed big time. Possibly the kids from the marriage as well.

Thoughts?

Of course it was a conspiracy. She paid for and got false witnesses. It was all planned. She was not insane. She was a sociopath.
